The product

NCT is one of the pioneering music platforms in Vietnam, established in 2007, and currently, NCT is one of the top free online music sites in Vietnam. In recent times, the NCT application, as well as the music website, have undergone major changes, especially in terms of user interface and user experience. The content below is some interface images that have been updated on the latest version of the application. Currently, our team is still researching more about users to gradually improve the product and target users around the world.

My responsibility

I work with NCT as a full-time UI/UX designer. My work includes:

  • Responsible for interface sketching, UI/UX design, prototyping, animating graphic elements, finalizing the product and handing it over to the developer.
  • Implement ideas and design UI/UX according to product requirements
  • Actively manage time to design and complete the design product before the required deadline
  • Actively research current products, get to know users through old surveys or app store reviews, synthesize all findings, and suggest improving solutions.
  • Participate in graphic design, banner design, music playlist, and guidelines for each type of graphic
  • In addition to participating in the design of the interface for the main product, the NCT music application, I am also responsible for designing the interface for other products requested from other departments, typically the NCT API landing page. , the Lucky Wheel web app, and a new livestream feature.
  • Work directly with product, programming, content, and marketing departments

SELF ASSESSMEENT

What I did well?

I am grateful for my previous job experiences which have helped me develop my soft skills in problem-solving and handling responsibilities. Additionally, I have been fortunate to have a Designer Lead who has taught me a lot about the design profession and helped me quickly adapt to the team's working rhythm during my probation period. I have demonstrated my capabilities in this role by not only completing my required tasks but also proactively suggesting new design components to enhance the product.

What I would do differently?

NCT was the first company where I worked as a UI/UX Designer, and it was apparent that there would be several challenges in the working process. However, I consider these challenges as opportunities to learn and grow, which cannot be acquired from any educational institute. My focus is on precisely defining the product requirements, asking questions without hesitation, regularly checking the product, and responding promptly to programmers. I am not afraid to request changes and dynamically arrange information and images to facilitate programmers and product owners.
